Many thanks for choosing Conservatives on the 3rd May.

OUR AREA

Lesnes Abbey

Lesnes Abbey Woods

Nearby Bostall Woods

With the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) at Abbey Wood coming soon, we will have access across London in super-fast time, giving local people the opportunity for a range of top quality jobs.

Our long term plans are to greatly improve transport infrastructure and the Council are putting forward proposals for this.

TRANSPORT

A green and pleasant place.

We also have Stephen’s Park, West Heath Recreation Ground and Belvedere Sports Ground in our new ward.

It is no wonder that residents love our area.

THE ENVIRONMENT

EMPLOYMENT

Unemployment locally has reduced significantly, including that for young people. Our plans are for the Council to attract a broad spectrum of companies to give a varied range of job opportunities.

SKILLS TRAINING AND EDUCATION

We are working on plans for a massive skills training project in Belvedere. This will turn our area into a great hub for people acquiring skills and education.

We have the fantastic Primary Schools Bedonwell and Hillsgrove and, nearby, a range of great secondary schools, both Grammar Schools and All Ability Schools.

COUNCIL TAX

We have done a lot already to make Bexley Council far more efficient. New technology, clever working and eliminating waste have been introduced at every level in the Council.

That’s why we have been able to freeze Council Tax for many years, with recently just a small increase to pay for the increasing number of elderly people.

We are not stopping there, long term planning pays off, so we have plans to do even better, every year for the next eight years.

Don’t forget, when Labour ran Bexley Council they increased Council Tax by over 40% and services got worse.

KEEPING OUR AREA AS OUR RESIDENTS LIKE IT

Surveys show Bexley residents are some of the happiest in London and they love our borough. This is especially true of our new Ward.

We aim to keep it that way and improve it and the following are just a start:

More tree planting, increased grass cutting, a new deep-cleaning street cleaner, better public transport, even safer streets, fines for litter-louts and fly-tipping and lots more.
